25 Amp Rectifier-Regulator Kit
This kit provides a service replacement for all 25 amp rectifier-regulators used on K-Series, Magnum, Command, and OHC Series engines. The new rectifier-regulator design provides more efficient operation and increased reliability. For EFI applications, the new regulator also has built-in over voltage protection, to prevent damage to the ECU if the unit is jump started.

To Install –
1. Cut off the three lead wires where they exit the body of the old rectifier-regulator. Leave the opposite ends of wires connected.
2. Strip approximately 3/16" of insulation from the cut end, and attach one of the female terminals onto each wire.
3. Remove the two screws securing the old rectifier-regulator to the blower housing. Discard the rectifier-regulator, save the flat washers and screws. If a separate ground lead is used, note its location.
WARNING: Accidental Starts!
Disabling engine. Accidental starting can cause severe injury or death. Before working on the engine or equipment, disable the engine as follows: 1) Disconnect the spark plug lead(s). 2) Disconnect negative (-) battery cable from battery.
4. If there is a separate ground lead to the rectifier-regulator, compare its size to the new 12 gauge ground lead in kit. Remove and replace the original lead if it is smaller in gauge size, or the condition is questionable in any way. Install the new rectifier-regulator to the blower housing using the screws and washers saved in step 3. Reattach the ground lead (if used) in the original location. Reinstall the silver plated screw into its original location through the blower housing. Torque all screws to 4.0 N·m (35 in. lb.).
5. The new connector has a cutout on one side. Hold the connector with the cutout down and away from you. Push the two stator (black) leads into the outer locations and the B+ (red) lead into the center location until they lock into place. Attach the assembled connector onto the terminals of the new rectifier-regulator, with the cutout side toward the blower housing.
6. Reconnect the spark plug lead(s), negative (-) battery cable, and test run the engine.
