It's been four months since our purchase. We were looking for a direct replacement engine for our JD mower, OPE validated the correct engine but recommended upgrading to a commercial engine. OPE assured me that the commercial unit would fit but I would have to consider the different air filter housing/design (clearance) and the unit was available in stock at a time when many other applicable models were on backorder. At the end-of-the day I purchased the B&S 49T877-0024-G1 27hp 810cc Commercial Turf unit and boy, am I happy we did. It's a HD unit (more metal than plastic) and has features a residential unit would not include (oil cooler, etc.). Our mower has been transformed to a real beast, I rarely go above 1/2 throttle cutting 2acres of lawn. Very satisfied with our experience and purchase.
