Description

Kohler Diode Kit, 25 755 31-S, this kit can be used to replace a failed diode in the charging lead of 3 amp/70 watt stators, or in Command wiring harnesses.

Replaces Old Kohler Part # 5175501-S

The diode failure mode symptoms will usually indicate which of the diodes has failed (see chart on page 23 in the 1999-2000 Kohler update handbook). If you’re not certain, test the two circuits with an ohmmeter (Rx1 scale) to determine which has failed. A good diode will let current pass in one direction, but will show no continuity when the ohmmeter leads are reversed. A failed diode will show continuity in both directions or no continuity in either direction. Mark the bad diode.
